Archivio Capitolare di Pistoia

Archivio Capitolare di Pistoia

Situated in the cloister adjacent to the Cathedral of San Zeno of Pistoia, the Archivio Capitolare conserves a rich holding of documents produced in the Cathedral Chapter and by various authorities related to it. Also preserved are private and institutional documents, which have been acquired through donation and other means throughout the centuries. Additionally, the Archive preserves the Chapter’s historic library (medieval manuscripts and incunabula), a rich music library, an important series of choir books, printed books and scientific instruments.

The Archivio Capitolare promotes and collaborates in historico-cultural projects and initiatives. Access is granted to scholars with a letter of presentation.

Director: Professor Stefano Zamponi
