Archivio Capitolare di Pistoia

Currently, six medieval inventories are known: 12^th-13^th centuries (Pistoia, Archivio Capitolare, C.155, f. 70r); 1372 (Pistoia, Archivio Vescovile, III.R.66.1, ff. 2r-3r); 1383 (Pistoia, Archivio Vescovile, III.R.66.2, pp. 3-5); 1432 (Pistoia, Archivio Capitolare, D.22, ff. 29r-30v); 1441 (Pistoia, Archivio Vescovile, III.R.66.3, ff. 4r-6r); and 1487-1497 (Pistoia, Archivio Capitolare, L.8, ff. 291v-293r). Beyond noting the inventories of the Chapter library, this guide cites all documentary collections found (testaments, donations, bills of sale, expense accounts) that contain reference to a manuscript historically possessed by the Chapter.

In this section, it will be possible to view the actual inventories along with medieval documents in which manuscripts belonging to the Chapter are cited.
